National Veterans Day

Both my Granddads was veterans. Today I´m remembering them and all other veterans.

Thanks to them we live in an independent country. Let the Flag fly high.

Isolla Kirkolla

 Maalainen lähti kaupunkiin. Helsinkiin vieläpä. Hyvä ystäväni Susu Petal kutsui. Kävimme kahdessa museossa, torikahvilla ja lounaalla vietnamilaisessa. Ajeltiin spåralla ja metrolla, huisin jännää näin maalaiselle. Ja kivaa vaihtelua arkirutiineihin. Hengailtiin myös auringossa puistoissa. 11 000 askelta (reilut 7km) tuli käveltyä. Nyt ihan kuitti, huomenna puolikuollut.. 😬 Helsingin tuomiokirkko Wikipediassa.

International Museum Day

 Every Museum let´s people in for free. At least in Lahti, Finland. I went to newly renovated History Museum. 5 years in making, costed millions. I must say it was a treat. Haven´t visited the place for 45 years so it was bloody time. It looks like so. A real Eye Candy IMHO.

In the Park beside it is this gorgeous fountain. It looks like this.

One very few in Lahti, there´s not many more.

 With Frisbees. I tried it first time today. It´s good for practicing your putting skills.

Ice Swimming Anyone?

 Sun was warming but not so much that I even concidered to dip in. Did It once and ain´t gonna do it again. It´s Semiwhat popular thing that many people do. I know couple of people who does it. They think it´s Heavenly experience. Bunch of Crazy people I say.

Valentinesday´s Lunch

 Pork Beef with Carlic Potatoes. Half plate of Salad and steamed Veggis. A Pastry and Coffee as a dessert. Yams! Best part is the prize, 4€. Unbelievable right? One perk of being Mental Patient, we have our own place. Where we can do pretty much what ever we wanna do. All are Mentaly Crippled and nobody is looking sideways to anybody else. Peer Support it´s called. Great to have such place.

City Po🎱l

 Once a week I go to play pool (i.e. 8-ball) in this pool hall. It´s underground with good dozen - or so - pool and snooker tables. There are half a dozen (give or take) of us, we´re all recovering from meltal illness of some sort. Peer Support Group you can call us. It´s fun to have something outside your house activities with social contacts. Many of us are pretty lonely, not many understand us due our health issues. We´re all "quater crazies" so we get along very well.

Tiirismaa´s TV- and Radio-Tower

 It´s on a hill 223m (731f) from Sea Level. The Mast is 327m (777f) tall. It´s taller structure in Finland. All though there´s one as high as this but still. Read all about it in here (it´s in Finnish but tranlation program ahoy).

I went hiking on the nearby Swamp to get this photo. Sun was shining and I sweated like a pig. My hiking buddy and I had small picnic there and enjoyed the Mother Nature. Autumn colors are not at it´s peak, not just yet but there was some. Clounds was hanging low but there was no too much of those. If you look close enough you can see all the wires that´s holding it up.                  Skywatch Friday
